Overview
Having laid slumbering for many a millennia, the Portal Stone of Harth has not been used since the days of the
dwarves who crafted their ancient city around it. The stone sits at the center of a two-story, circular room, deep underground. Shelves line the walls of both levels, and while a few tomes or books may still be found - it is clear this was once a room for study and research. Having been plundered multiple times throughout history, not much remains of what used to be - and what does has a habit of crumbling into dust when touched.
A strange, magical apparatus surrounds the portal stone, revealing layers of gearwork in unknown metals. An educated guess would assume alchemy. An experienced guess would note that at some point in time there had been a battle, or perhaps an invasion: broken golems and the remains of demons lay scattered about the detritus of a chamber torn asunder.
The domed ceiling is lined by glass that conveys a curious bioluminescent glow reminiscent of a bright, blue sky above. It lights the room with a gentle, pleasant illumination that doesn't quite match the horrible scene visitors will find there.
