Out-of-character information
N/A 11/25/2022 "Storyteller's Dust" by Diana Martinez

This pouch can contain only one thing: teeth. Teeth of all kinds, so long as they fit. The teeth collected and placed within this pouch are empowered to grant boons from evil spirits.

Description

  • Pouch can hold a maximum of 20 teeth at any given time.
  • Teeth from the pouch can be traded to evil spirits for a boon such as a favor, information, safe passage, and more.
  • The number of teeth required for what you seek ultimately depends on the greed of the evil spirit.
  • Certain types of teeth carry more power to their boon: teeth from those possessing magic or teeth from the innocent and pure are highly prized.
  • More teeth can be added to the pouch by the owner, but these teeth must be collected (extracted) by the owner themself.
  • The higher value the teeth contained in the pouch, the more the pouch draws evil spirits in - the owner should be wary of this.
  • The pouch looks and sounds just like a coin-purse to anyone other than the owner, making it a valuable target for sneak-thiefs and pick-pockets. It embues those of greed with the desire to take or steal it when in proximity.
  • Items that are not teeth that get placed in the pouch are lost immediately to the nether. Teeth only.
  • Exposure to Divine/Holy magic renders the teeth within the satchel to dust, making them useless for their intended purpose.

History

Origins unknown, though historians have linked the styling of the bag to a favorite purple cloak worn by a man by the name of Warrenon who was once ruler of a Kingdom hundreds of years ago. It is said the man was driven mad by his greed for magic and became a lich.
