Caelia Kerrigan

With long auburn hair that is on the darker side than it is light, skin of a fair complexion with freckles collecting across the bridge of her nose, Caelia has the likeness of her fae mother. It is her human father's keen interests in nature that she inherited, with a curious mind that was meant for more scholarly studies than what the streets of Alliria could give her. The memory of her parents was fading, having passed when she was a child, and none of the friends her parents' kept had wished to take on an extra mouth to feed. She had been ten years old when she started earning coin on the streets, working as a delivery girl at first before her education in reading and writing allowed her to work on the skill and become a scribe.

Past

Her time as a scribe did not last long, not after work began to slow for handwritten notes.

Caelia was twelve when she was taken in by a nobleman, who happened to trade in developing assassins for his own gain. It was a roof over her head and a couple of hot meals a day, enough to keep her skilled and focused for a few years while being trained to work for the man.

Her time caring for herself as an orphan on the streets had made her quick to learn new things. Soon enough, Caelia was a capable fighter but growing into herself in appearances. With enough coin to her name, Kerrigan knew it was time she could part ways with her life here in Alliria and move onto something that would not subject her to being one's puppet.

Present

She became a squire of the Knights of Anathaeum at sixteen, becoming Knight Sworn of the Dawn Sanctum at 24. In her squire years, she was able to reconnect with her interests in nature and learn from the Wylds. Such a pursuit turned her in the way of poisons, learning how to use the Wyld to inoculate herself to become like one of her many poisonous flowers. This practice soon made her retreat from her peers, afraid to do them harm, but with no distractions, it allowed Caelia to weaponise many things to add to her own arsenal

Skillset

  • Celestial Alignment
As her fae heritage dictates, her midday birth on Summer's Solstice has granted her a surge of power at this time any given day, only growing stronger into the lead up of Solstice in summer. This helps Caelia now more than it did growing up, as she was born with partial powers bestowed to Duanna fae that helps her attune to the Pursuit of Wyld.
  • Elemental Alignment
It is no shock her alignment is to the Earth, a connection strengthened by her choice to pursue further study of the Wyld Pursuit. It also helps Caelia a better tracker, have a good sense of direction, and be able to locate ley lines easier than most half fae beings.

  • Fae Ability
It is unknown to Caelia that her fae attributes give her the ability to ingest and crave toxic plants and poisonous flowers. Only with the study of the Pursuit of Wyld has she become aware of her ability to inoculate herself and dress herself in poisons, but never will she be hindered by the effects.
  • Pursuits
Her squire years allowed Caelia to focuse and hone her interests in nature and the Pursuit of the Wyld, but the study of the Pursuit of Death only broadened her outlook to weaponising plants by exploiting natural defensive mechanisms. How to adapt such an art to be wielded, she turned to the known poisonous flowers, using Death to inoculate herself to wear poisoned oils that her skin drank in.
This means none could touch her, even if she went weeks without this unseen armour, many distrust her alluring perfumes to be poison too.
  • Weaponry
Her first weapon was the quill, but her time training to be an assassin allowed her to hone her combat skills. Smaller than many, and incapable of keeping muscle on her form, she was trained to use the force of other's against them to take down opponents. Caelia is additionally quite comfortable in the use of small weapons that can be hidden on her person, but since joining the Knights, this education expanded into the likes of swordcraft and lances, all of which she has now adapted poisons to now coat her weapons, of which she used only when called to arms.
