Brynn Granfaere
The (Secret) Tale
Once Upon A Time…
There was a husband and a wife who owned a grand estate and successful winery outside of Oban. They wanted for nothing except a child. The husband loved his wife so much that he chose to stay with her even though she was barren. He would rather have no children than lose his wife.
They lived like this for several years before both husband and wife felt that they needed a child. The husband used fortunes to find someone who could help. And so, in the cold months of winter, he received a letter, with no name given, but a promise of aid. Desperate, he took his wife and a large sum of gold on the long journey to the Isle of Sheketh. The trip took months but they eventually made it.
There, they met with a beautiful and cunning sorceress.
The Sorceress made a deal with the couple. She would heal his wife of her ailment, but only for a time. They were to raise for her a child - a daughter. This child must remain pure until her eighteenth birthday when the sorceress would come for her child, her heir. Once the sorceress had the girl, the wife would be completely healed and able to bear many children. If the child gave up her purity before the sorceress got her, the deal would be void but the child and the mother would both be barren forever. They could wait eighteen years if it meant that they could have many more children. The husband blurted out an agreement without much more than a moment's thought and the spell was cast.
The deal was done.
The wife found herself to be with child before they had even made it home from the Isle of Sheketh. Nine months later she gave birth to a healthy, perfect baby girl. They seemed to forget about their deal as soon as they laid eyes on their daughter.
And They Lived Happily Ever After…
For Eighteen Years…

Biography & Lore
Brynn Granfaere grew up an only child on a sprawling estate and winery outside of Oban. Her parents were incredibly protective of her and she spent the majority of her life on their estate. She left over the years but the trips were few and far between since (according to her parents) she had everything she needed on the estate. She had servants, friends, animals, and lots of love. The protectiveness of her parents and their overbearing nature drove her nuts her entire life. She never understood why they acted the way they did.
When she turned eighteen years old it got worse.
Unbeknownst to her, her parents paid a very substantial amount of money to put a ward around their entire property. This ward would hide Brynn from the sorceress. Her parents spent years trying to figure out a way to keep their daughter safe because they loved her and they did not want to lose her. It was not worth it to have more children. It took ten years for her parents to find an elf in Fal’Addas who could (supposedly) help them remove the enchantment. The catch was that Brynn would need to travel to Fal’Addas. She would have to leave the protective barriers of her home and make the long journey to Fal’Addas.
