An average looking warrior with black hair and black eyes. Wears light splint mail and usually armed to the teeth with weapons, pouches and other items. Primarily wields a large single-edged sword made of steel in two hands but also has smaller weapons made of various metals to deal with different monsters.

School of hard knocks fighting: Bernhardt is by no means a master swordsman or weapons master however years of life and death situations has honed his fighting instincts well. In a straight-up fight, he is unlikely to win against a trained knight however Bernhardy will bite, kick and scream if he thinks it'd give him an advantage in a fight. During a hunt like most sane monster slayers he prepares his battlefield before engaging with his quarry and is perfectly willing to run if the situation doesn't seem favorable.

Runic Magic: Bernhardt has memorized a small number of runic drawings mostly for lifestyle purposes like light and fire. He stores a large book which was a keepsake from his old mentor that has instructions for even more complex powerful runes however Barnhardt himself is poorly trained in their application and along with a fear of magic means he's hesitant to draw complex symbols.

Monster Knowledge: As a monster slayer Bernhardt is, of course, knowledgable in the habits and weaknesses of a large number of creatures. He particularly has a fear of the undead, fairies and most other supernatural creatures and so carries silver as well as cold iron weaponry.

Language proficiencies: Having traveled all across the continent, Bernhardt knows many bits and pieces of most common dialect mostly swears, insults and expressions. Probably can't actually have proper conversations with most of these languages except for Dwarvish which he became fluent in during his travels in The Spine.

Bernhard at most times is an incredibly laid back and friendly person who's always looking for a good time. He lives his life to the fullest enjoying whatever he can whether it be drinks, women or good food he enjoys all the luxuries of life. The only times he becomes serious is when money or work is involved. Bernhardt values money only second to his life and is willing to do anything if the right amount is offered to him. Whether it be saving some people, killing others or even hunting monsters if the pay's high enough Bernhardt's willing to try anything. He takes his contracts seriously and will strive to fulfill them, even when at times extorting his employers, however if he believes that he's bitten off more than he can chew or that the pay isn't up to par he ran away in a heartbeat.
