Bera - child of the North
An ancient land of strong and proud warriors, known for their resilience, strenght and skill in battle, worship of the Old gods and their fierce defense of ancient customs and traditions.
Bera left her Homeland at a very young age, and has since wandered the great continent on her own, with only her loyal steed Fjalar as company.
However, she dreams of the day, when she’s made enough gold to purchase a plot of land in a forest, that is supposedly haunted by Leshens and spirits of ancient elves, so she can build a small hut, get some hens and a garden with all she need…
And a few cats, of course.
However, rumor has it that her mother was in fact a Woodland elf.
However, Bera takes on some contracts here and there, when she’s in dire need of gold: It ranges from finding a missing sheep, to killing bandits or deliver magical artifacts from one magic wielder to another.
Bera is the only child of Jarl Hraldann and lady Katla, who ruled over their Hold in the Northern realms.
Her family was butchered under mysterious circumstances, and Bera left when she was but 14 years Old.
She roamed the wild for a year or so, before she stumbled upon a young Dwarven boy in need of rescue - his father was a powerful dwarf Lord, who took the girl in and accepted her as his own daughter, as did his wife.
A few years later she left, and has roamed the wilderness ever since.
She’s skilled with a bow and arrow, wields sword and shield, and is a good hunter and tracker.
Fiercely introvert, Bera prefers the solitude of the wilderness, to that of being surrounded by people.
She detests humans for the most part, and especially our rather destructive treatment of Nature and the beasts that dwell there.
She hates injustice, and has defended the forest and animals in need more times than she has humans.
Bera adores the wonders of Nature, especially during Autumn.
Cinnamon is her favorite spice and scent, she loves to read and drink tea, ride fast and sleeping under the stars.
She loves the tales of the first elves, and finds the Elder race more interesting than humans, as she has so many similarities with them.
Stubborn as a mule, not a natural beauty in the eyes of most men, and has a tendency to get into fights with other women, when she has to stay at an inn or some such.
Bera is usually very quiet / reserved, and stays out of other People’s business.
Her trust isnt easily gained, but once you have her as a friend / ally, Bera will go to the ends of the Earth and then some, to defend and love you.
