Appearance

Ayreal is of average height for a woman but is a bit more fit and built. She seems no stranger to hard work and often looks as if she has just come from working a forge.

Skills and Abilities

Pyromagic
She, like the rest of her very extensive family, can manipulate and create fire. The cost of this magic is the air and fuel required for a natural fire plus a kinesthetic component to control it. Even though it still requires the same amount of fuel the benefit of this type of magic is that she has control over the temperature and movement of the flames. This lends very well to trades such as blacksmithing, fire fighting, heating bathhouses, or entertainment such as fire shows. She tends to do odd jobs around town, assisting blacksmiths in the city to heat their forage enough to make iron, or helping charcoal makers to keep the fire from getting too hot. Her family is well known in Alliria for their skill and people will often request them for jobs, sometime multiple family members will work together on the same job.

Personality

She is very stubborn, has a bit of a temper and knows what she wants. She is fairly independent and loathes asking for outside help. It is kind of a family philosophy.

Biography & Lore

She grew up in a large clan of Pyromages outside of Alliria. Because of their magic, her family was very involved in industry. She became involved at a very young age, knowing how to safely play with fire almost before she could walk. It runs in their blood. She grew up with her skills and talents nurtured and started going into the city with her father and older siblings on jobs when she was 11. The flame and the forge has been her entire life.

Phoenix Flame

The Phoenix Flame is a secret technique of Pyromagic. It was almost lost completely and now the only people who still hold it's secrets are the Melbrand Family. Phoenix Fire is a very powerful magic but it is also very dangerous. It allows the caster to channel their own energy enhancing the flame. The flame burns hotter and faster with the need for less fuel. It can also enhance strength, speed and even heal the user of physical wounds or illnesses if done correctly. The cost of this magic is high however and very few even among the Melbrand family have mastered it. If one misuses this magic it could end up turning in on the caster and devouring them or leaving them with irreparable burns.
