The Swarm Larva are small creatures, similar in appearance to a caterpillar with a slimy armored hide.

They can live anywhere, but prefer hot wet places.

Rapid Evolution: They have a single purpose. To consume and evolve into creatures of the swarm. They form chrysalis around themselves where they are disassembled and reassembled into another creature depending on what is required. But they can only do this while their chrysalis is in contact with Processing bile which serves to provide neutrience.
Once within the chrysalis their evolution is triggered by a psionic signal sent by the queen or warlord. Once triggered they can transform into:
Swarm Runners.
Swarm Worker Drones.

Infectious Mucus: Their bodies are covered in a thick slime. If any creature not of the swarm makes skin contact or ingests this mucus they will become infected by the Swarm virus, and turn into one of the infested.

Processing Bile: When they consume enough they are able to create a small amount of processing bile that will allow them to evolve to the next stage of their evolution.

Psionic Counter: Every creature in the swarm is connected, they have one mind. Through this connection it is possible for it to also be a vulnerability.
