Kalhe
Appearance
Kalhe has the face of her mother, but the build (and the temperament) of her father. Though not quite as tall as Helna, the teenaged orc is still rather tall and lanky. Both ears have two hooped piercings, and her hair is shaved on either side, the middle being long. Rather than have her hair braided or pulled back, Kalhe prefers to let it fall freely, usually to the side. Typically, her facial expression varies from sheer boredom to aloof and sulking. Ever since the deaths of her father and little brother, smiles have become an ever-rarer occurrence.
Skills and Abilities
- Archery: Kalhe is extremely adept at archery for her age, rarely if ever missing a mark even when on a mount. This can be attributed not only to her natural talent but also the long hours of practice the she-orc threw herself into after dealing with her loss. Either way, the teen's skill rivals even the most experienced of archers among the Snow-Wolves.
- Tracking: With the deaths of both Gharr and Gorruk, and Helna's self-admitted lack of hunting aptitude, Kalhe has stepped up to the task, honing her tracking skills (and also using it as an excuse to be by herself out in the wilderness). Though not as good with tracking as she is with archery, the she-orc has still earned a word or two of praise more than once from the orc elders.
- Animal Bonding: Just like her mother, Kalhe has a strong nurturing ability. However, it comes out a lot more frequently for animals than for any beings like humans or fellow orcs. Note: it's not necessarily a magical ability, she's just good with animals.
Personality
Growing up, Kalhe had a very similar personality to her father - bold, brash, and boisterous, laughing loud and often while also quick to anger, growing like a wildfire until it was calmed down by soft words or space. At the same time, she was also very protective of her little brother, being seven whole years older than him. No nook or cranny was left unexplored, and no stone was left unturned when Kalhe was feeling bored and adventurous.
Now, though, it's as if she's an entirely different person. Though the temper remains, Kalhe has withdrawn into herself, no longer laughing or smiling, and much preferring her own space over the company of others. Occasionally, peeks of the happier Kalhe will slip through the cracks, but these moments are rare and fleeting.
