Adriel was a fortunate child who grew up in some of the nicer areas of Elbion, both his parents have some rudimentary knack with magic and while they do not qualify as mages per se, he certainly inherited their talent.

From a young age, Adriel displayed talents relating to plant and nature magic. He enjoyed spending time outside the city limit, venturing to forests and communicating with the wildlife that existed there. Such talent earned him a place at the prestigious Elbion College to further his talent and skills.

He spent much of his time within the academy and it wasn't until his final year of study that Adriel discovered his interest and fascination of golems. Instead of choosing to graduate, like many of his cohorts, Adriel chose to stay at the College and develop his skills and understanding of the artificial creatures.

Adriel hopes, one day at least, to covert himself into a living golem and achieve what no mage in recorded history has achieved before. For now, at least, his understanding of this art is still relatively new and he still considers himself a student of the College - not least so he doesn't have to teach fellows.
